The Dell Inspiron computer product line started as a range of laptop computers targeted at the entry-level, budget, and mainstream consumer market.

The Dell inspiron range starts with the Dell Mini 10 netbook, and includes the 1370, 1470, 1545, 1750.

The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is 10.1" netbook that weighs 2.5 lbs (Mini 10v) or 2.6 lbs (Mini 10). The Mini 10 has an option for an external TV tuner and mobile broadband from Vodafone. There is a 2 GB option available with Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit or Windows 7 Starter.

The Dell Inspiron 15 1545 is a 15.6" widescreen notebook with a 16:9 display. Most models feature an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and can be customized with up to 4GB memory and 320GB hard drive space. Other options include Blu-ray drive, Bluetooth and facial recognition technology

The Dell Inspiron 1750 is Dell's 17.3" HD budget laptop that weighs 6.8 lbs. The Inspiron 1750 has the same design as the Inspiron 1440, but is simply bigger and includes a numeric keypad.

The Dell Inspiron 1720 is a 17" large-screen laptop that weighted 7.62 lb, the Inspiron 1720 had support for two hard drives and included a full numeric keypad. The Inspiron 1720 had a RAID 0 and RAID 1 options
